Rabat – Morocco’s flag carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced a decision to schedule nearly 1,400 additional flights to meet the high demands from customers.

In an announcement issued today, the airline explained that the decision is part of its plan to enhance service “by mobilizing charter planes for 2021.”

Royal Air Maroc said that it will schedule nearly 1,400 additional flights between Morocco and Europe with a capacity of over 220,000 seats, starting from July.

“Royal Air Maroc strengthens its air routes by launching 11 new direct lines connecting Moroccan cities to major European destinations”, the airline said.

The air routes include the launch of a Casablanca-Naples flight from July 6. The airline will operate the flight between the two destinations twice a week.

Royal Air Maroc also announced plans to reinforce the Fez-Paris air route, and the launch of seven new flights connecting the Moroccan city with Amsterdam, Brussels, Lyon, Toulouse, Montpellier, Bordeaux, and Marseille.

The program also includes reinforcing the flight program to Paris from Oujda, increasing its frequency to 21 scheduled flights per week.

The airline also aims to strengthen the Oujda-Brussels air route by enhancing its frequency to six weekly flights, along with four weekly flights from Marseille.

Royal Air Maroc will also launch a new air route between Tangier and Lyon. A new route will also be established connecting the northern Moroccan city with other locations, including Amsterdam, Paris, and Brussels.

Royal Air Maroc also announced the launch of a new air route connecting Nadro and Eindhoven. Additionally, the airline will expand flight routes connecting the between the city in eastern Morocco and European cities, such as Brussels, Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, and Frankfurt.

After Morocco re-opened international flights on June 15, Royal Air Maroc announced a new flight program.

The decision also seeks to facilitate the return of Moroccans residing abroad as part of the Marhaba Operation initiative.

The operation facilitates the transit of Moroccans residing abroad to annually return for summer holiday from Europe to Morocco.

Also in response to royal orders, the company has decreased its prices as well.
