Rabat – The city of Agadir is hosting the first edition of its Regional Agricultural Fair, taking place at the Al Amal Square from September 9 to 17, reports Maghreb Arab Press (MAP).
One-hundred and sixty exhibitors have gathered at the square to showcase their products and trades, said the organizers.
The fair aims to valorize the local goods of the Souss region, which according to the organizers is a key driver for the economic and social development in the kingdom. It also seeks to develop marketing channels in the region and improve living conditions, especially for rural women.
The event will feature numerous workshops, conferences, and meetings.
The expo coincides with another significant event: “Climate Chance Summit,” an international symposium which brings together international climate experts. The event is expected to attract 3,000 visitors, added the organizers.
The first edition of Agadir’s Regional Agricultural Fair has been organized by the Secretariat of State in charge of Handicrafts and Social Economy in cooperation with the Souss-Massa Regional Council.
