Rabat – Several US government websites in the states of Ohio and Maryland were hacked on Sunday to display a message supporting the Islamic State Group (ISIS).

The pro-ISIS messages were posted on the Brookhaven?, LI homepage, as well as the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, Casino Control, and Ohio Office of Workforce Transformation. A website in Howard County, Maryland, several miles from Washington DC, was also hit.

The group which called itself Team System DZ, even breached the websites of Ohio Governor John Kasich and his wife, and on it vowed to take revenge against US President Donald Trump.

“You will be held accountable Trump, you and all your people for every drop of blood flowing in Muslim countries,” read the message on the websites.

Written in golden letters on a black background, the messages also displayed the Muslim profession of faith in white letters in Arabic, proclaiming: “There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the prophet of Allah.”

The message posted on the site of Governor Kasich also issued a call to prayer. Although some of the targeted websites were still out of service on Monday morning, the website of Governor Kasich, www.gouvernor.ohio.gov, was back online.

Pro-ISIS group Team System DZ, which was described by USA Today as a group of “anti-Israeli Arab teenagers,” has been behind several cyber attacks in recent months, including sites based in France and Israel.
