Rabat – The hidden camera program, “Mchiti Fiha,” broadcast on 2M, has broken records among Moroccan TV audiences.

The show recorded the highest audience share of 11,233,000 viewers during the first week of Ramadan, according to Moroccométrie, a company that measures audiences of Moroccan TV.

The second season of the hidden camera program, “Mchiti Fiha,” alone accounted for 77.4 percent of the audience share, followed by the sitcom, “Al Khawa,” which recorded 10,400,000, or 70.7 percent of viewers.

Turkish soap “Samihini” followed with 8,189,000 viewers, or 69.6 percent of the audience share. All three programs are broadcast on 2M channel. The major audience share has won 2M the first spot in terms of audience share of Moroccan TV. It accounted for 47.6 percent of the audience share per day and 64 percent in prime time.

2M is the go-to channel for Moroccan viewers and Ramadan further proves this.

2M’s competitor, Al Aoula, recorded very low scores with only 7.6 percent viewers in prime time. Soap opera, “Anisa Farida,” accounted for 23.6 percent of the audience share, followed by Sitcom, Dar Ghozlane, with 13.8 percent, Lalla Larossa, with 16.1 percent and finally the JT, with 13,7 percent.

With an audience share of 47.6%, 2M is far ahead of Al Aoula, which, in turn, recorded only a 7 percent audience share.
