Dr. Abdennabi Morchid is a researcher in Electrical Engineering and the Internet of Things (IoT). He holds a Master’s degree in Microelectronics, Signals, and Systems and a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Sciences Dhar El Mahraz, Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fez. He is a member of the LIMAS laboratory, where his research focuses on advanced embedded systems integrating IoT, cloud computing, and blockchain for smart farming. His work addresses key challenges in food security and sustainable agriculture, particularly in smart irrigation and fire detection. Two of his studies on IoT-based irrigation and intelligent agricultural water management have been indexed by FAO AGRIS and recognized by the European Commission’s Knowledge4Policy platform. Dr. Morchid has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and served as a reviewer for over 280 scientific articles in leading international journals. He has also contributed to the organization of international conferences. His research interests include smart farming, agricultural innovation, food security, sustainability, water management, IoT, cloud computing, blockchain, embedded systems, and artificial intelligence.
