Hafid Ouammou is a PhD student at the Faculty of Sciences and Technics in Tangier, Morocco, and a fellow of the ICTP/IAEA Sandwich Training Programme at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy, supported in partnership with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). His research focuses on geohazards, including earthquakes, crustal deformation, landslides, and land subsidence, with a particular emphasis on Morocco and North Africa. He uses satellite radar data, especially InSAR, together with seismological and geophysical methods to study active tectonics and seismic risk.
