Join on Telegram Casablanca – Morocco’s Economic, Social, and Environmental Council (CESE) has announced the creation of an ad hoc committee to assist the Moroccan diaspora projects and facilitate their contribution to the country’s development.
The goal of this initiative is to generate action plans and operational recommendations that can contribute to the new dynamic which was established by King Mohammed VI in his speech marking the 69th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People, the CESE noted.
It also seeks to reinforce the profound ties that already connect the Moroccan diaspora to the country and to create a framework that allows them to actively participate in Morocco’s development, the council added.
As part of the program, the council’s office has agreed to study ways to strengthen the contribution of “Moroccans of the world” to Morocco’s development.
According to the CESE, the implementation of the program will follow an approach based on listening, debate, and co-construction with concerned parties.

The initiative is part of the council’s large-scale approach to the country’s growth in issues involving the Moroccan diaspora, noted the CESE’s statement, adding it is also part of King Mohammed VI’s call to build a business-friendly environment for the Moroccan diaspora in order to persuade them to invest in their home country.
“I call once again on Moroccan youth and on project holders residing abroad to make the most of the numerous investment opportunities in Morocco, as well as the incentives and guarantees offered by the new investment charter,” the King said in his speech on August 20.
He added, “In this respect, I would like to salute and commend the members of the Moroccan expatriate community, who spare no effort to defend our territorial integrity on various platforms and in different venues.”
