Rabat – Morocco’s national carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) and American low-cost airline JetBlue have signed an agreement on flights between Morocco and North America.

Under the agreement signed on February 27th, the two airlines will cooperate on flights between Morocco, the United States and Canada. The new agreement is likely to benefit customers with more destinations, improved flight schedules and better connections.

The agreement will significantly increase the number of destination choices that the two airlines can offer their customers. RAM will now offer thirteen destinations in the United States: New York, Atlanta, Boston, Charleston, Chicago, Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Jacksonville, Los Angeles, Orlando, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington. The company will also serve cities in Canada including Montreal Toronto, Edmonton, Vancouver, Ottawa and Calgary.

RAM will provide flights from Morocco to North America. Its American partner will provide connection flights, the company said in a statement.

With this agreement, customers will have to buy only one ticket instead of many while on a trip that would include connections flights.

Besides JetBlue, RAM also shares flights with Etihad Airways, Air France, Brussels Airlines, Egypt Air, Iberia, Turkish Airlines, and Saudi Arabian Airlines.

The company is also planning to engage in discussions with Qatar Airways. If achieved, the alliance with the Qatari carrier would allow RAM access to the Asian and Middle Eastern markets.
