Rabat – Morocco have announced their starting lineup for their friendly match against Norway, the team’s final test before the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The match, scheduled for Sunday evening in New Jersey, gives head coach Mohamed Ouahbi one last chance to test his players before Morocco open their World Cup campaign against Brazil on June 13.
Yassine Bounou starts in goal, bringing experience and calm to Morocco’s back line. In defense, the lineup includes Achraf Hakimi, Noussair Mazraoui, Issa Diop, and Chadi Riad, giving Morocco a mix of pace, strength, and ball-playing quality.
In midfield, Morocco will rely on Ayyoub Bouaddi, Azzedine Ounahi, Ismael Saibari, and Neil El Aynaoui.
The group gives the Atlas Lions technical control, energy, and the ability to move the ball quickly through central areas.
Brahim Diaz and Abde Ezzalzouli complete the starting XI, offering creativity and attacking threat in the final third. Both players will be important for Morocco’s transition play, especially against a Norway side known for its physical style.
