Moroccan Center for Civic Education organizes first Int’l conference on democratic citizenship

Tetouan, Morocco – The Moroccan Center for Civic Education is organizing a conference under the theme of Educating Youth for Democratic Futures. This event will take place in Marrakesh, on February 26^th to March 1^st.

Specialists around the world will tackle many issues related to democratic citizenship like Education for Democratic Citizenship, the Arab Spring, Civic Engagement, the Empowerment of Youth and Women, Anti-corruption and many other issues.

The conference’s main goals are to promote students’ awareness and activism that will benefit communities, stimulate an in-depth exchange of views, share successful experiences and model the best classroom practices with respect to democratic citizenship, identify the skills, knowledge, and values that learners will need as active and democratic citizenship.

There will also be information on how students should be educated in and for democratic citizenship and to provide a platform for sharing experience and expertise as well as a way of disseminating successful and innovative practices.
