New York – Qatar’s news outlets highlight the importance of the visit of Morocco’s King Mohammed VI to the State of Qatar in strengthening the relations between the two countries.
“Although the main axis of the visit is to boost Qatar’s investments in Morocco, it reflects the extent of the strength and development of the partnership between both brotherly countries and the compatibility of their views on a host of issues,” says the daily Qatari news paper Al Arab in its Saturday’s issue.
Such a visit, the Doha-based news papers added “would give a strong impetus to the Joint Moroccan –Qatari High committee, the Qatari- Moroccan Business Council, and strengthen the strategic partnership between Qatar and Morocco in the economic, social and cultural fields, as well as in investment and development, give Qatar an important role in supporting the development process in Morocco, through investment projects, and encourage the Qatari private sector to invest in Morocco.”
In a statement given to Qatari media after the arrival of the Moroccan delegation to Doha on Friday, Saad Eddine Otmani, Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, noted the existence of excellent relations between Morocco and Qatar, adding that both countries strive towards coordinating their positions regarding different regional and international issues.
He went on to say that the relations between the two countries are growing stronger thanks to Qatar’s investments in the Moroccan economy, as well as the cooperation that exists between both counties’ private sector.
