Mali praises Morocco’s role in advancing crisis settlement process

Malian foreign minister, Tieman Hubert Coulibaly, praised, on Thursday, Morocco’s “commendable efforts” for a lasting solution to the Mali crisis.

The minister made the statement after the unanimous adoption of a resolution authorizing the deployment of an international force in Mali.

Hubert Coulibaly added that, today, the Security Council “made a landmark act” by unanimously adopting a resolution authorizing the deployment of an African-led international force to help Malian armed and security forces to restore the state’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in the regions of Gao, Timbuktu and Kidal, controlled by terrorists and extremists
