Rabat – In his response to media questions about Real ’adrid’s last-minute penalty against Elche in la Liga, FC Barcelona’s President, Sandro Rosell, said that he still ‘can’t believe it.’
“Looking at the evidence, there is no need for me to make any more comment on the issue”, he told the Catalan press as he arrived at the Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) in Bilbao.
The referee César Muniz Fernandez awarded a controversial penalty to Real Madrid against Elche after the Whites’ defender Pepe was involved with Elche’s Carlos Sanchez inside the box.
Cristiano Ronaldo succeeded in converting the penalty into the winning goal for Real Madrid making the final score 2-1 for the visitors.
