Casablnaca- According to Moroccan news outlet Hespress, 26-year-old chemical engineer, Kaoutar Abou Charif, currently based in Indiana State, received an award from the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists for her remarkable contributions in chemical engineering.
Kaoutar Abou Charif had spent 16 years in Larache, in northern Morocco, before she moved to the United States, thanks to a study grant that allowed students who mastered English and proved to be brilliant in scientific subjects to obtain an opportunity to pursue their studies in America.
After she successfully completed a training that qualified her to receive an American education, Kaoutar moved to Ashland High School, in Oregon State, where she obtained her baccalaureate.
During that particular period in her life, Kaoutar went through the typical hardships that a person distant from his or her motherland experiences abroad. However, the day she and her classmates were invited by former U.S. President, George Bush to the White House was an event that marked her life and encouraged her to further double her efforts to reach excellence.
Kaoutar’s research centers on the negative side effects of some medical drugs. She gave numerous scientific lectures in some of the major cities worldwide, namely Glasgow, London, New York, and Nuremberg.
She was also invited last November to a conference organized by the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, where she received a recognition award for her remarkable academic and scientific achievements, as well as her valuable contribution to the field of chemistry.
Kaoutar Abou Charif’s achievements were not confined to the United States. International scientific journals shed light on her remarkable work and did not hesitate to publish her scientific contributions.
Kaoutar’s journey will not stop there. The young Moroccan scientist will soon join one of the world’s leading Pharmaceutical companies where she will be the president of the engineering group in the company’s department of research and development.
Kaoutar’s remarkable achievements in the U.S. did not cause her to forget her origins. She significantly contributes to the development of young entrepreneurship in Morocco, mainly by sharing expertise and insights on entrepreneurial developments in the United States.
