Rabat – Ambassador of the European Union (EU), Rupert Joy, welcomed the initiatives undertaken by Morocco to implement its new migration policy.
“I welcome the recent initiatives taken by Morocco to implement the new migration policy. These initiatives are both encouraging and responsible,” he told the press.
The diplomat’s spoke on the occasion of the installation of the national appeals committee for the regularization of migrants and the signature of several partnership agreements to support the policy of integration of migrants whose situation has been regularized and asylum seekers who have been granted refugee status.
The ambassador, who welcomed “the commitment of Morocco to involve civil society in the implementation and success of this policy,” recalled that the EU is a strategic partner of Morocco on all the issues related to migration and mobility.
