Taroudant, Morocco- The Technical Committee of the African Union for Athletics (AUA) has chosen four Moroccan athletes to participate in the 2014 Athletics World Cup that will be held in Marrakech, Morocco, on September 13 &14.

According to Alyoum24, Namibian Frank Fredricks, in charge of the technical side of the AUA, invited Ghizlan Siba (high jump), Nissrine Dinar (pole vault), Amina El Mouden (Discus Throw), and Salima El Ouali Alami to participate in the 3000-meter steeplechase.

Ghizlane Siba won the gold medal in the recent Africa Championship which was held in Marrakech in August. The silver medal went to Nissrine Dinar, while Amina El Mouden and Salima El Ouali Alami each won a bronze medal.

As time gets closer to the 2014 Athletics World Cup, many of the world’s best athletes, including Polish hammer thrower Anita Wlodarczyk from the European Team, who set a world record of 79.58m in Berlin, are expected in Marrakech for the big sporting event on September 13-14.
