Rabat – The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) opened, Thursday, its Rabat office, the first in the Maghreb and the 6th in Africa after Johannesburg, Cairo, Lagos, Nairobi and Abidjan.

The inauguration of this new office opens a new page in the history of cooperation between Morocco and Japan and reflects the common ambition of both countries to further strengthen economic relations and Moroccan-Japanese partnership, Morocco’s minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and Digital Economy Moulay Hafid Elalamy said.

“Besides its role of trade promotion, the JETRO Office in Rabat would serve as a bridge between the business communities of both countries and provide information about the business opportunities in both sides” Elalamy pointed out.

The Minister invited Japanese companies to join the dynamics of industrial acceleration in Morocco and invest in various sectors with potential, such as automotive, aerospace and high-tech industries where Japan enjoys significant experience.
