Rabat – The opening show of FIFA Club World Cup, which is currently held in Morocco until December 20, cost the Moroccan government some 9.5 million dirhams.
More than two-thirds of this sum went to the international Moroccan Music producer Nadir Khayat, better known for his stage name RedOne.
According to Le360, 9.5 million dirhams were spent for the ceremony. RedOne alone received 5.4 million for composing “Come alive”, the official song of the tournament.
Performed in English by Ahmed Shawki, the video clip of the song was shot in Marrakech, displaying the very authentic people and scenes of the ochre city.
The Royal Football Federation (FRMF) has partnered with RedOne, to launch the song Come Alive, which is regarded as the official song that will represent the governing body of Moroccan football in all competitions.
