Rabat – Dutch people want Rotterdam Mayor of Moroccan origin Ahmed Aboutaleb (PvdA) to be their next Prime Minister, according to a survey done by Maurice de Hond among 2,500 respondents.
The Moroccan-born son of an Imam received the highest score among ten other prominent politicians in the Netherlands.
He is not only loved by his own party, but also sympathizers of the VVD and PPV parties appreciate Aboutaleb and would like to see him as the leader of the Dutch government.
Previously named Dutchman of the Year, Aboutaleb was also named the most popular politician in the Netherlands in March.
He came ahead of anti-Islam PVV deputy Geert Wilders who received the least votes and ended up on the bottom of the ranking as the least popular politician in the Netherlands.
