Rabat – Chelsea’s head coach, José Mourinho, is reportedly seeking to sign Brazilian player, Dani Alves, in the upcoming winter transfer season.
According to the El Mundo Deportivo, Mourinho has expressed his desire to bring Alves to Stamford Bridge to replace Serbia’s Branislav Ivanovic.
Alves who plays for FC Barcelona as a right back is reportedly worth EUR 10 million. The Brazilian international’s contract with the blue team is expected to end in 2017.
Mourinho, who has had a few words for Alves calling him “Einstein” in a mocking tone amongst other derogatory names according to the same report, is allegedly determined to sign Alves.
This is not the first time Chelsea shows interest in the Brazilian player. The current champion of the Premiere League expressed its interest in Alves last year before he renewed the 32-year old player renewed his contract with Barcelona until 2017.
