Rabat – A terrorist cell responsible for recruiting Moroccans to fight alongside the so-called Islamic State has been found and dismantled in Fes on Thursday.
Composed of three members including one woman, the cell was responsible for recruiting volunteers to fight in terrorist organisation ISIS, the Interior Department said in a statement published on MAP.
According to a statement from the department, the terrorist was about to carry out terrorist acts in Morocco large scale.
The investigation by the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ) within the S & T Branch revealed terrorist cell “Were preparing to commit terrorist attacks in Morocco,” according to the statement.
The network was active in Fez, Casablanca and Oulad Teima.
