Rabat – Donald Trump is the product of the extreme right movement in the United States of the 21st century. In the 20th Century it was the Klu Klux Klan that wanted to get rid of the blacks by murdering and terrorizing them. At the height of the Cold War, Joseph McCarthy (1908-1957) unleashed a massive witch hunt to counter communism and which he defended in his book entitled: « the Fight for America. » This dramatic and tumultuous period was immortalized in the classic play bearing the title: « The Crucible » by Arthur Miller.

Donald Trump may look like the mirror image of the French extreme right political leader Marine Le Pen, but in reality he is more lethal because he plays on the fear of the average American, which is triggered by blind terrorism that has no face, no address and no real people, since the perpetrators of such odious acts are all brainwashed to die at the end of their dirty and inhuman work. The victims and people at large end up with many questions and few answers and, as a result, limitless fear.

Donald Trump: The Ugly Face of America

The dangerous clown of American politics

Donald Trump is a true clown, he is good at making thousands of expressive faces and grimaces that amuse the audience on the spur of the moment but whip their hidden fears, thereafter. Thanks to his exceptional talent of a comedian, he has subliminally converted many Americans to his ideology of hate and this hate has only one name: Islam.

So, because the Muslims are different from the West and are not part of the Judeo-Christian tradition, because they have no democracies and their countries are torn apart by uprisings and power struggles, therefore they must be bad and are positioned on the dark side of the power. So, according to the malicious Trump, to exorcize the American national fear, all Muslims must be blamed for terrorism and banned from entering America. But, if terrorism continues after he is elected President, would he envisage nuking some Muslim countries to allay the fears of his fellow Americans? Is not he, after all, tempestuous, mercurial and unpredictable?

America has always had a soft spot for comedians and comedy and Donald Trump could be the first comedian president that would make people laugh their worries away. He could be just the right president for scared America: scared of migrants, scared of blacks, scared of Muslims and scared of anybody who is not white. He is also a WASP, so he represents the right concoction for leadership. For many white Americans, Barack Obama was an error of casting, in the first place.

Ban Muslims: starve America of Muslim trade and arouse ethnic fear

Let us assume Donald Trump is elected president and his first presidential directive would be to ban Muslims from entering America ever. This racist undertaking will have the following dire consequences:

Consequence 1: end cultural diversity

America would not be considered anymore as a country of cultural diversity and the beacon of democracy, and the Statue of Liberty will not be viewed as the symbol of a country open to migration and to the persecuted people of the world. It will be equated with the Nazi Germany that put yellow crosses of David on the German Jews, considering them as an impure race and second class citizens (« racial inferiority ») that were massively gassed in the end: Holocaust.

Consequence 2: loss of Islamic capital

As a result of the election of Donald Trump, the Islamic countries will severe all political and economic ties with America.

Consequently, one fourth of the population of the world will be at loggerheads with America. The Islamists around the Muslim world will be justified in their animosity toward The US and, maybe power will tilt in the favor of the extremists in many Muslim countries.

The attitude of official America will strengthen the role and the presence of Russia and China in the Muslim world and will reinvigorate greatly their economies. Ultimately, America will lose trillions of dollars in favor of other competitor countries and its economy will shrink dangerously and jobs will be lost leading to an economic recession.

More importantly, enmity with the Muslim world will go against the spirit of the speech of President Dwight D. Eisenhower at the Centennial Commencement of Pennsylvania State University on June 11, 1955:

If we are to have partners for peace, then we must first be partners in sympathetic recognition that all mankind possesses in common like aspirations and hungers, like ideals and appetites, like purposes and frailties, a like demand for economic advancement. The divisions between us are artificial and transient. Our common humanity is God-made and enduring.

Consequence 3: revival of supremacist feeling of superiority

The ban on Muslims might trigger fears among the American Muslims because they would feel threatened by the white supremacist drive in America that might lead ultimately to racial tensions similar to those of the last century that bred segragation, prejudice and hatred. Racism is a human condemnable attitude towards the different other, it regenerates itself in different forms and shapes in spite of human advances in racial issues. A good example of that is white policemen’s violence towards the blacks in the last few years in many parts of America, in spite of the election of a black American president. So, white supremacist feelings are dormant but still very strong in American society. After the blacks, the emboldened white supremacist might question, like in Germany, the Jewish presence in America and their control of the economy.

Some extreme right politicians like Sid Miller, the Texas Ag Commisioner have an integral solution to the plight of terrorism and that is to nuke Muslims out of existence.

Texas Ag Commissioner Sid Miller

This attitude is supported by 80 % of the participants in the written debate held by Debate.org on the topic : Should America nuke the Middle East? One of the participants says:

I place American lives higher than Muslim lives they took the fight to us by bombing civilians. If our positions were reversed they would not hesitate to blow us away. FACT: 90 percent of Muslims support suicide bombings. I say the crusaders had it right the first time, if only those brave knights had the arsenal we had today!

Donald Trump is trumpeting unconciously the end of American empire

By banning the Muslims from entering the US, America will be labeled as an apartheid country and, as such, would lose the leadership of the world politically and economically in favor of Russia and China. This way, the Americans will probably feel more secure inside their country but might get poorer and poorer from loss of income and weaker and weaker from loss of influence worldwide.

So, Trump is not doing any good to his fellow citizens by banning the Muslims but heralding the downfall of American leadership and might in the world. Those who are applauding and cheering him are unconsciously applauding the downfall of their mighty empire without realizing that, in the least.

In France, the alarming advance of the extreme right leader Marine Le Pen in the first round of the regional elections was stopped by a democratic action taken by both the Republicans and the Socialists. The question in America is: who will stop Donald Trump before it is too late? Or would the American citizen just watch this man lead them down the gutter with no reaction, whatsoever?

Only time will show….
