Rabat – A Moroccan woman was brutally executed on Monday by the terrorist organization of the so-called Islamic States (ISIS).

ISIS accused the Moroccan victim of “sorcery and black magic,” according AFP citing the Libyan news agency close the government recognized by the international community.

The Moroccan woman was beheaded in a public place in the center of Sirte, a city controlled by the extremist group, according to the same source.

In addition, the terrorist organization also killed a Palestinian, who was accused of “espionage,” and amputated the hand of a Libyan for robbery.

Located 450 km east of Tripoli and hometown of the late dictator Muammar Gaddafi, Sirte is controlled by ISIS, which took advantage of the political and security chaos in the country.

The terrorist organization counts between 2000 to 3000 fighters in Libya, including 1,500 in Sirte, according to a UN estimate. Most of its fighters in the country come from Tunisia, Yemen and Sudan, according to the same estimate.

ISIS is reportedly moving forward to take control of Libya’s oil wells. French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian warned on Monday that the terrorist organization is moving to the interior of Libya, where much of the country’s oil is located.

“They are in Sirte and their territory extends 250km along the coast. However, they are starting to penetrate into the interior and may be tempted by the oil wells and reserves on offer,“ Le Drian told French radio RTL on Monday.
