Alwaleed’s remarks come few days after Trump proposed to temporarily bar Muslims from entering the United States, following the terrorist attacks in Paris and California. Trump’s hate speech against Muslims have already cost him business in the Middle East. Dubai’s retails giant Landmark Group has decided to stop selling his glitzy “Trump Home” line of lamps, mirrors and jewelry boxes.
Last week, Dubai real estate firm Damac, which is building a $8.23 billion golf complex with Trump, stripped the property of his name and image.
Many prominent politicians and presidential candidates have denounced Trump’s outright hate speech against Muslims.
Democrat presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, denounced Trump’s proposal, labelling it as an “ugly, distasteful and dangerous idea.”
