Rabat – Morocco will suspend the daylight saving time (GMT+1) as of June 5 until July 10, 2016, the ministry of public service and administration modernization announced on Monday in a statement.

Morocco will resume GMT time on June 5 at 3.00 a.m., said the statement.

This measure is in conformity with decree N2.12.126 dated Jumada I 26, 1433 (April 18, 2012) and decision of head of government N3-29-15 dated Shaaban 16, 1435 (June 4, 2015).

Public administrations will work continuously from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Morocco has been enforcing daylight saving time during summer with an interruption in the fasting month of Ramadan.
