Rio de Janeiro – Morocco’s El-Amin Chentouf won on Sunday the final of the T12 marathon in the Paralympics games in Rio, Brazil.
Chentouf finished with a time of 2:32:17, ahead of Spanish Alberto Suarez Laso (2:33:11).
Japan’s Masahiro Okamura finished third with a time of 2h 33:59.
It’s the second medal won by the Moroccan para-athlete at these games. Chentouf finished second in the final of the 5000m T13/12 category on Thursday.
Moroccan para-athletes won, so far, seven medals at the Paralympic Games in Rio (3 golds, two silvers and two bronze).
