Rabat – The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training’s regional academies issued an announcement on Tuesday regarding the urgent recruitment of 11,000 teachers in order to solve the serious deficit of professors currently plaguing the 2016-2017 school year.
This offer follows the agreement that was ratified earlier this year between the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training and the Ministry of Economy and Finance to recruit civil servants under a contract system.
The recruitment offers were released earlier today on the public employment website. Each academy will release the number of the teachers it intends to hire.
The 11,000 prospective teachers were pleased to discover that, as part of the offer, the usual 1 year training term will be forfeited, giving them the same rights concerning upgrade and salary, as those currently enjoyed by second degree professors.
Applications will be considered from November 25-26. Official signing of these new contracts will take place December 14 at the Regional Academies of Education and Training (AREF).
