Paris – Princess Lalla Salma, Chairwoman of the Lalla Salma Foundation for Cancer Prevention and Treatment, attended, Monday in Paris, the World Cancer Congress.
This event, organized by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and the French League against Cancer, is an opportunity to highlight the efforts of civil society in the fight against this disease and to propose new solutions and initiatives to meet the challenges of cancer prevention and treatment.
The participation of Princess Lalla Salma in the Congress mirrors the continued commitment of Her Royal Highness to fighting cancer at national and international levels.
The opening of the conference was marked by the presence of French President Francois Hollande, the Spouse of the King of Spain Queen Letizia, honorary President of the Spanish Association Against cancer, and Princess Dina Mired of Jordan.
Earlier, Princess Lalla Salma took part in the opening of the World Cancer Leaders’ Summit.
Princess Lalla Salma attended workshops organized as part of this international event, which tackled issues related to awareness-raising about the danger of cancer and the importance of making this disease a priority in programs of international health.
