Rabat – Famous Turkish actor, Murat Yildirim, and former Miss Morocco, Imane El-Bani, celebrated their wedding Sunday at the CVK hotel in Istanbul, in the presence of family.
In a video posted on YouTube, the married couple are seen wearing traditional Moroccan wedding outfits, including the Moroccan caftan and the ‘Jabador.’
The video also shows guests dancing to the rhythms of Morocco’s “Deqqa Merrakchiya,” Moroccan folk Moroccan music distinguished originating in the city of Marrakech.
Last month, Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, went on Facetime to request permission from El-Bani’s father for her hand in marriage on Murat’s behalf.
Imane became acquainted with Murat in London, where she currently lives. She was crowned Miss Morocco in 2006 and, in 2009, she participated in the Miss Arab World 2009, finishing as the first runner up.
