Rabat – Former Haitian Prime minister, Laurent Lamothe, said his country’s sovereign decision to withdraw its recognition of the pseudo “SADR,” stems from the fact that Haiti considers Morocco as a priority and the respect of its territorial integrity is in the interest of relations with the rest of the world.

“There has been a huge lobby to try to block this decision. We stood firm and said that Morocco is our priority and we recognize its territorial integrity,” Lamothe told Moroccan channel ‘Medi1 TV’ in an interview broadcast on Thursday.

“We have taken a sovereign decision (…), in the interest of relations with the rest of the world because Morocco is a great country,” he said.
