Rabat – King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Prince Moulay Ismail, and president of the Republic of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo chaired, on Friday at the presidential palace in Accra, the signing ceremony of 25 governmental and public-private partnership agreements in the different sectors of cooperation.

Governmental agreements:

A memorandum of understanding to open talks on an agreement regarding reciprocal investment promotion and protection.

An agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion in relation with taxes on income.

An agreement on integrated support offer for small farmers.

An industrial draft cooperation agreement.

A memorandum of understanding between the Moroccan Normalization Institute (IMANOR) and the Ghanaian Normalization Authority (GSA).

Public-private partnership agreements:

A memorandum of understanding on the setting up of the Moroccan-Ghanaian Business Council.

An agreement by the global private sector in favor of climate action.

A memorandum of understanding on supporting member enterprises of Ghana’s national chamber for Trade and Industry in terms of funding and assisting at the international level and helping set up strategic partnerships.

A memorandum of understanding on financing investment needs of Ghanaian enterprises which are members of the Ghana Industries Association, as well as assisting them in their development process internationally through the Bank Of Africa network in Africa and Europe.

An agreement on the setting up of a 10-mln dollar Financing Line by the Bank of Africa for the benefit of Ghana’s Electricity Company to develop technical capacities in order to promote electrification in Ghana.

A technical cooperation agreement on insurance and reinsurance.

A memorandum of agreement between Attijari wafa Bank and GCB BANK Ltd.

A memorandum of understanding on the establishment of a general cooperation, the support for foreign trade operations and risk sharing between Morocco, Ghana and the different countries where the “Banque Centrale Populaire” group is present.

A memorandum of understanding on funding small-scale agriculture.

A memorandum of understanding on the development of renewable energy projects in Ghana.

A memorandum of understanding on scientific and technical cooperation between Morocco’s ONHYM and Ghana’s Mineral Commission.

A memorandum of understanding between the Moroccan Tourism Office and Ghana Investment Promotion Centre.

A memorandum of understanding on the setting up of a bilateral cooperation framework concerning expertise sharing in the technical, exploitation, training, concession and funding areas.

A memorandum of understanding between ITHMAR capital and the Ghanaian Infrastructure Investment Fund.

A strategic partnership between ITHMAR capital and the Ghanaian infrastructure investment fund.

A memorandum of understanding on the development of agricultural insurance.

A memorandum of understanding between MAMDA RE and the GHANA RE.

A memorandum of understanding to bring closer the two countries’ capital markets in financing SMEs by the market, the certification of market professionals, the public financial education, the encouragement of cross-border investment between Morocco and Ghana, and the promotion of sustainable finance.

A memorandum of understanding on sharing expertise through the exchange of executives between the Casablanca stock market and the Ghana Stock Exchange: organizing training sessions and joint events, double quotation between the two stock markets and efforts to harmonize regulations in order of facilitate the integration of the two countries’ stock markets.

A memorandum of understanding between SNTL group and the CAP 3 SERVICES Ltd Oil & Gas.
