Rabat – Said Fafa and Hamza El Aasri were among the winners at the 24th Annual International Competition of the Holy Quran, organized in Cairo by the Egyptian Ministry of Endowment.
The announcement was made on Tuesday, April 11 at the end of the 24th International Competition of the Holy Quran.
Said Fafa, winner of the “Imam Nafie” school for traditional teaching in Tangier, won the Memorial Prize for his ability to recite the entire Holy Qur’an and its interpretation.
Hamza Al Aasri, was named winner of “Dar Al Quran.” Al Aasri, who is a member of the ‘El Jadida’s Imam Malik Association for Preaching and Guidance,’ won the Holy Qur’an Memorial Prize and interpretation of Quran verses on jihad.
The competition, which was attended by 60 candidates representing 43 Arab, African and foreign countries, was divided into four categories including the memorization of the Holy Quran, its interpretation, memorization and chanting.
