Rabat – The ArtiCultures’ Association and the Free Trade Union of Moroccan Artists of Salé (SLAPMS) will mark International Art Day, by organizing a collective exhibition of Plastic arts. The event is celebrated each year on April 15.

The event will be marked by musical and poetic activities. “This event will highlight artists from all walks of life, each with their own artistic expression,” the organizers said.

“This day has a high symbolic value, because celebrating art is nothing more than celebrating life in its noblest essence. With everything it can convey as messages of hope, openness and tolerance, it is indeed worth celebrating,” added the same source.

ArtiCultures has also organized a visual arts workshop at the request of the Badil association for children with diabetes. The initiative targeted about 30 children suffering from the disease.

“The art made by the children will be the subject of an exhibition in Paris,” the organizers said, in addition to making children aware of the benefits of opening up to the world.

The art work produced by the children will be handed over to Fatema Binet Ouakka, member of the Board of Directors of the French National Council for Visual Artists (CNFAP), and the International Association of Visual Arts (AIAP) to be exhibited in Paris.

The first International Art Day was organized in 2012 at the initiative of the International Association of Art (IAA), supported by UNESCO.
