By Safaa Kasraoui

Rabat – Paris Saint Germain French forward, Hatem Ben Arfa, has publicly criticized a number of international football figures.

According to sports media outlet, France Football, Ben Arfa has expressed his concern about football by publicly criticizing international footballers and coaches, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Diego Simeone and Jose Mourinho.

Arfa has described Real Madrid’s star striker as predictable, adding that he feels no emotion while watching him play. He would, on the other hand, be delighted to pay in order to watch André Inesta, Lionel Messi and Marco Verrati in a match. He added that players like Verratti, Messi and André are magical and spectators can never predict what’s coming while watching their games.

The forward added that Manchester United coach, Jose Mourinho, and Atletico Madrid leader, Diego Simeone, are also lacking in the way they deal with their positions, describing them as missing the spirit of football. “Several coaches are convinced to invent football on the pretext that they are looking for a way to block the opponent, but this is not the essence of football,” Arfa said.

said he went to add that coaches like Mourinho and Simoene are killing the real notion of football. Arfa described their general outlook on football as contradictory to Dutch-based international footballer, Johan Cruyff’s philosophy. Johan is still considered the most influential European player in football history. According to Arfa, “Mourinho and Simeone are the antithesis of former Ajax and Barcelona coach, Johan Cruyff, and his freedom and with them there is no longer room for pleasure.”

The 30-year-old also expressed his personal thoughts about football, saying he had lost interest in the game. He added that he is no longer fascinated watching football games. “Even in Ligue 1, we kill football,” he added.

For Ben Arfa, football is a show, where people come to have fun, and football figures should think of them. “Luckily there is Barcelona, without it football is over,” he declared.
