Rabat – Société Générale Maroc has officially rebranded as Saham Bank, six months after its acquisition by the Saham Group.
A statement from Saham Bank announced the launch of its new identity today, noting that the rebranding of the company is the result of the expertise and entrepreneurial drive of the Saham Group.
“This milestone follows the completion of the bank’s strategic transformation and autonomy phase after the Saham Group took control in December 2024,” the statement said, pledging support for Morocco’s economic and social transformation.
The bank’s supervisory board is chaired by the majority shareholder, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, founder of the Saham Group, with Vice-Chairman Moulay M’Hamed Elalamy, the statement said.
It added that Ahmed El Yacoubi will lead the executive board, which will retain its composition, with the new governance framework ”combining strategic vision with operational excellence.”
“This project was born of a simple conviction: customers expect their bank to deliver both expert precision and agile execution,” Moulay Hafid Elalamy said during the launch ceremony, noting that Saham Bank will take on this responsibility with high standards and a spirit of innovation.
The company pledges strategic operations, customer-centricity, and true proximity, a personalized customer relationship, and practical innovation to support clients.
“This vision is already being translated into tangible initiatives that mark the transition to a new operational model,” the statement concluded.
