Rabat – King Mohammed VI received, on Tuesday at the Rabat Royal Palace, Hadi Sirika, state minister for transportation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The state minister conveyed to the sovereign a message from Nigerian president, President Muhammadu Buhari, on the development of bilateral relations and the reinforcement of regional integration in west Africa, said a statement by the Royal Office.
The meeting was an occasion to underline the historic aspect of agreements inked yesterday and related to the Atlantic Pipeline and cooperation in the field of fertilizers, it said.
The agreements will help foster ties between the two countries, promote regional integration and promote economic and social development of west African countries.
These projects represent a model for an innovative, ambitious and concrete south-south cooperation as advocated by King Mohammed VI and President Muhammadu Buhari, the statement added.
The audience was attended by foreign minister Nasser Bourita and Ahmed Abubakar Rufai, Nigerian president’s special advisor for international affairs.
