Rabat - On the invitation of Princess Lalla Salma and Princess Lalla Oum Keltoum, French first lady Brigitte Macron visited the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMVI) in Rabat on Wednesday.
Rabat – On the invitation of Princess Lalla Salma and Princess Lalla Oum Keltoum, French first lady Brigitte Macron visited the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMVI) in Rabat on Wednesday.
The trio visited “Face à Picasso”, a temporary exhibition opened to the public on May 17, which features a chronological journey of 20th century artist Pablo Picasso’s masterpieces. The exhibition comprises of 115 of the artist’s works, which demonstrate a variety of the disciplines he used.
Upon their arrival to the museum, Lalla salma, Lalla Oum Keltoum and Brigitte Macron were greeted by ceremonial troops. Lady Macron, Lalla Salma and Lalla Oum Kalthoum were then welcomed and greeted by Minister of Culture and Communication, Mohammed Laaraj and, President of the National Museum Foundation, Mehdi Qottbi.
Princess Lalla Salma inaugurated “Face à Picasso” exhibition on May 15.
The exhibition is a collaborative effort between the National Museum Foundation of Morocco (FNMM) and the French National Museum Picasso-Paris.
The exhibition closes on July 31, 2017.
