Rabat – A video showing a group of people wearing US Navy uniforms threatening Nasser Zefzafi, the leader of the protest movement in Al Hoceima, spread like wildfire on social networks.

The one minute long footage shows the very muscular and strong men, who pretended to be members of the Navy, promising to “break Zefzafi’s bones,” claiming that the activists is “trying to create strife and conflict” between the Rif people and the rest of Moroccans.

The man speaking in the video did not chew his words: “there’s many of us, a patch for each and we’ll sink Al Hoceima.”

However, the men in questions were mere extras in an American movie that is being currently filmed in Tangier.

The actors who took advantage of their costumes to perpetuate such dangerous hate speech, filmed the brief footage to “express” their opinions about what is currently happening in the Northern regions of Morocco.

In fact, the man who appears to be the group’s leader, is a bodybuilder in one of Tangier’s gym clubs.

A large number of social media users who massively shared the video, believed the group of men to be members of the Moroccan Royal Armed Forces.

While some demanded an explanation for the footage, many others didn’t shy from expressing their “admiration” and lauding the hateful and threatening content of the footage, which is a blatant call for violence
