Rabat – King Mohammed VI inaugurated a functional rehabilitation center in Casablanca on Wednesday, aiming to help poor people with disabilities integrate more easily into society.
Built using a budget of MAD nine million, the centre is the first of its kind in the Casablanca-Settat area.
The centre will offer rehabilitation and physiotherapy services to poor people with disabilities in order to encourage their independence.
To do so, it will have sections accommodating consultations, physiotherapy, speech therapy, psychomotricity, orthoptics, psychology, and balneotherapy.
The facility is the result of a partnership between the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, the Ministry of Health, the Casablanca-Settat regional council, the prefectural council, the National Initiative for Human Development, and a generous patron.
