Rabat – The Moroccan All Shares Index is hitting a new record this Friday’s session, exceeding 12.224 points with an impressive 0.82 percent gain.

The central market was mainly boosted by LafargeHolcim Maroc announcement yesterday. The company gained 7.01 percent at MAD 2.275 per dividend after it announced the distribution of a second exceptional dividend to be deducted from the balance of the merger premium.

The cement giant dominated exchanged volumes on the central market with MAD 2.7 million traded out of a total of MAD 4.7 million.

Med Paper was the top performer of today’s session with a 9.97 percent gain at MAD 35.19 at open of trade. In second places comes LafargeHolcim followed by Involys which rose by 4.79 percent trading at MAD 129 this morning.

The worst performers of this morning were Ennakl which registered an acute 5.21 percent lost at MAD 56.64 per dividend, followed by Stroc Industrie with a 3.54 percent loss trading at MAD 43.60. In third place, Auto Hall fell by 2.06 percent at MAD 109.60.

In total, rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 24 to 11, and nine ended unchanged.

EUR/MAD was up 0.21 percent to MAD 11.0110, while USD/MAD fell 0.33 percent to MAD 9.6468.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39 MAD at MAD 95.60.
