Rabat – A video posted by Turkish TV channel TRT World on its Facebook page shows a group of sub-Saharan migrants rejoicing after their successful attempt to cross over the fence separating the Spanish enclave of Ceuta from Morocco.
Despite the happiness of the migrants in the video, the scene also reveals the degree of desperation leading the migrants to make the journey to Europe.
Crossing the fence can be dangerous, with many migrants receiving injuries while climbing, as the video footage shows.
On Monday, an estimated number of 187 migrants stormed the barbed wire fence.
Last week, 73 others, out of a total of 200, managed to get to the enclave by cutting the wire fence.
