New US Consul General in Casablanca Wishes Moroccans Happy Eid in Arabic

Rabat – The United States’ new Consul General in Casablanca has addressed a message to Moroccans, wishing them a happy Eid Al Adha.

The US Embassy in Rabat posted a message video of Consul Jennifer Rasamimanana on its Facebook page on Thursday, in which she talks in Arabic expressing her wishes for Moroccans on the occasion of Eid.

“I am very delighted to be here with you in this occasion that is dear to you,” says the Consul. “I wish you and your families and friends a happy Eid Al Adha.”

“I am happy to experience this happy occasion with my family for the first time here in Morocco. I am also looking forward to know more about your country,” added Consul Rasamimanana.

Rasaminanana has been a diplomat in the US Foreign Service since 1999, serving in Togo, Syria, Tunisia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and France. She also worked in the personal staff of Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice, and from 2010 to 2012, she was the US State Department’s Regional Arabic Language Spokesperson.
