A central commission has been appointed to control the price of road transport and to fight the fraud in the sector on the occasion of Eid Al Adha, said the department of Minister Lahcen Daoudi in a statement.

The commission, composed of representatives from the Ministry of the Interior, the Delegate Ministry in charge of General Affairs and Governance, and the State Secretariat for Transport, is responsible for carrying out surprise field visits to monitor the prices of inter-city road transport tickets, according to the statement.

The Commission visited the two El Kamra bus stations in Rabat on Thursday, August 31 and Ouled Ziane in Casablanca on Wednesday, August 30 during the commission found that ticket prices for certain buses have seen an unjustified increase, said the same source.

During the few days before the Aid al-Adha, the prices of tickets from Casablanca were illegally increased.
