Join on Telegram Rabat – Marrakech authorities have arrested an individual who was the subject of an international search warrant for drug trafficking, reported Maghreb Arab Press (MAP).
The police arrested the defendant at a police roadblock on the highway linking between Fez and Marrakech after a routine check. According to the General Directorate for National Security (DGSN) the suspect was the subject of an international search and arrest warrant for international drug trafficking.
The defendant was brought before the judicial police of Marrakech for further investigation, which is being undertaken in coordination with the public prosecutor’s office.
The DGSN said that the operation showed the effectiveness of police roadblocks in the city of Marrakech.
