Rabat – King Mohammed VI met with the head of government, the interior minister, the minister of economy and finance, and the first president of the Supreme Council of Accounts court on Monday in Rabat’s Royal Palace, said a statement by the Royal Office.
During the meeting, the two ministers submitted and explained to the King the conclusions of the reports he ordered regarding the implementation of “Al Hoceima Manarat al Moutawassit” regional development program.
The report concerned officials in charge of the program at the time of its execution, including those who are no longer in office.
King Mohammed VI looked over the explanations of delay or failure to implement some components of the development program, which excluded the possibility of embezzlement or fraud.
The King then gave his instructions to the first president of the Supreme Council of Accounts, Driss Jettou, to make an examination of the matter within 10 days.
The agreement kicking off the “Manarat al Moutawassit” program was inked in front of the King in October 2015 in Tetouan.
