Rabat – The Supreme Court of Russia and the Moroccan Court of Cassation signed a partnership and cooperation agreement Monday in Moscow.
The agreement, signed by court presidents Mustafa Fares and Mikhailovich Lebedev, is meant to “share experiences, visits, expertise, and documents in legal and judicial fields,” reports the Moroccan state-run Maghreb Arab Press (MAP).
At the signing, Lebedev said that the agreement, the first of its kind, which, will provide a “strong impetus” towards legal cooperation between the two countries.
Fares hailed the “depth of relations” between Morocco and Russia, while underlining that legal and constitutional reforms undertaken by King Mohammed VI have made Morocco a “model in the region.”
During their talks, the two sides discussed the means to further develop cooperation between the two institutions.
