Rabat – The Tangier-Med port police arrested on Friday Moroccan national from Spain in possession of 16,150 psychotropic tablets of different types.
The 34-year-old suspect arrived in the passenger terminal with a vehicle registered abroad. The seizure of the psychotropic tablets came after a search operation carried out by the police in collaboration with Morocco’s customs services.
Police elements also seized a quantity of drugs concealed in many parts of the vehicle, according to a statement by the General Directorate for National Security (DGSN).
The defendant was placed in custody for further investigation conducted by the judicial police.
