Rabat – King Mohammed VI, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Armed Forces, appointed this Monday Major General Mohamed Haramou as head of the Royal Gendarmerie, replacing Lieutenant General Hosni Benslimane.

General Haramou is the current commander of the group of squadrons of honor of the Royal Gendarmerie.

According to a communique released by the Royal Cabinet, King Mohammed VI received today at the Royal Palace of Rabat, Lieutenant General Bouchaib Arroub and the General Hosni Benslimane as well as Major General Mohamed Haramou.

“On this occasion, the Sovereign thanked the generals Bouchaib Arroub and Hosni Benslimane for the services rendered to the Nation,” reads the press release, adding that King Mohammed VI appointed Lieutenant General Abdelfatah Louarak as Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces, to replace General Bouchaib Arroub, former Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the South Zone.
