Rabat – Travelers face many issues every time they get in their vehicle or on a train, bus, or plane. If these issues are not cleared up in a timely manner, they will oftentimes turn out to be a nightmare. Instead of getting frustrated, it is best to contact a flight attendant or other personnel as soon as possible. According to travel experts, there are ways to prevent these issues from happening in the first place. With preparation and a solid plan, travelers can get from point A to point B without issues. And, if an issue arises, they will know exactly how to handle it.

Missing Flights

Thousands of people miss their flights each year for some reason or another. This mishap costs travelers a hefty sum of money. However, it is possible to reduce the loss by half, by contacting the airlines as soon as possible. Travelers who are lucky enough to contact their carrier before their flight departs can potentially get a “partial ticket credit, depending on the ticket type.

This partial refund is not available for connecting flights, but it may still be possible to get rebooked on the next flight at no additional cost. While this may mean an overnight stay at the airport, it will eliminate the financial loss and an additional charge. Giving the carrier notice will allow them to resell or release the seat, offsetting the loss.

According to Claim Compass spokesman, Thomas Busson, travelers who miss their connection due to a cancellation or delay when traveling to Europe have rights. Under EU Regulation 261/2004, passengers may be entitled to compensation.

Hiring a travel adviser, such as Mauritius Tour Packages, is a great way to eliminate missed flights. These professionals know exactly what it takes to make sure travelers get to the terminal on time.

 Woman Makes Serious Death Threats

Southwest Airlines is an extremely popular carrier known for their courtesy and first-class attitude. Unfortunately, on a flight from Portland to Sacramento, a belligerent woman started yelling at the passengers and threatened to kill them. She was upset, because attendants caught her tampering with the smoke alarms in the airplane’s bathroom cabins. Twenty-four-year-old Valerie Curbelo was trying to sneak a smoke, while putting the other passengers in danger. When the plane safely landed at the gates she was arrested. This occurred about 30 minutes after the incident, so thank god no one was injured in the process.

Seats Already Taken

It is a fact that some airlines are withdrawing seats that were previously promised to others, even though the passengers have already boarded. Previously, United Airlines personnel pulled Dr. David Dao off of a flight, because his seat was no longer available. Dr. Dao did not take very kindly to this action. In fact, he resisted in every way possible. According to other passengers, he was “dazed and bloody after being violently dragged off an overbooked flight.”

This event is a way to common, as airline personnel is continuously overbooking flights, leaving passengers in compromising positions. While airlines are promising passengers next-day flights and substantial amounts of money for their seats, it is causing a lot of frustration. Despite promised changes, consumers are still finding themselves in similar situations.
