Rabat – On Tuesday, May 7, authorities arrested a 55-year-old man suspected of possessing and dealing in ecstasy-based drugs and psychotropic substances.
The General Directorate of National Security reported in a statement, issued on Thursday, May 8, that police arrested the checkpoint at the entrance of Kenitra city.

The suspected, the report added, was on board a bus coming from northern Morocco, where the suspect was smuggling 2,640 pills, which included 1800 ecstasy tablets, 840 diazepams (widely known as Valium) and Rivotril pills.
The Kenitra authorities placed the suspect in police custody, while police investigate the case with a public prosecutor, to determine all the elements involved in the case.
